Students will learn the basics of bread and bun making in a hands-on class from our owner and head Baker - Steven Bootsma. Steven has been baking since he was 6 years old, learning the skills from his Father and Grandfather.
Where and When are classes held?
Our Class will be held at Bootsma Bakery at 1103 Mayor Magrath Drive S, Lethbridge, AB from 11:00am -2:00pm
Lunch
The students will enjoy a break while the dough is rising. We request that the students bring a nut free lunch to enjoy while on break.
Who can attend the classes?
This is a private event held for homeschool students. We recommend a minimum Age of 12 years old for this style of class.
Cancellation policy
Payment in full is required at the time of registration. Unfortunately, there will be no refunds on classes. This is a strict policy and no exceptions will be made due to illness, weather, traffic, family difficulties etc. A great deal of time and preparation goes into our classes, we need as much time as possible to try and fill any vacant spots. Spots are fully transferable and we are always happy to welcome a friend or family member in your place.
What to wear
We encourage you to wear comfortable clothing, closed-toed shoes, and hair tied back. We will provide you with an apron to use.
Class changes
In exceptional circumstances classes may need to be cancelled. If this happens you will be offered a choice between a full refund or a transfer to another class. In addition, we reserve the right to change the class content and instructor without prior notice.
Allergies
If you are allergic or sensitive to particular ingredients, be aware that you may be required to handle all the ingredients used in the class, which may include dairy, flour, etc. Unfortunately, classes cannot be altered to accommodate food sensitivities and allergies. Allergy awareness is the responsibility of the student.
